Maputo International Trade Fair 2026 to host 3,000 exhibitors
The 61st edition of the Maputo International Trade Fair (FACIM), scheduled for August 31 to September 6, 2026, is expected to host over 500 foreign companies and approximately 3,000 domestic exhibitors. Currently, 28 countries have confirmed participation. Brazil has been named the Guest of Honour, and business forums are planned with representatives from China and the United Arab Emirates.
The fair’s theme, ‘Digital and Energy Transformation: Towards a Sustainable Economy,’ will focus on digitalizing processes such as registrations, payments, and B2B meeting scheduling. The event aims to attract roughly 55,000 visitors and will feature pavilions for all 11 Mozambican provinces, as well as dedicated spaces for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Additionally, Maputo will host the Mozambique Future Green Business (MFGB) Expo 2026 on September 19. Organized by Ecobrand Mozambique, this forum focuses on corporate sustainability, the green economy, and innovation. The event aims to connect investors, public institutions, and entrepreneurs to discuss topics such as clean energy, agrobusiness, and green financing.
