Mar del Plata International Film Festival announces 41st edition details

The 41st Mar del Plata International Film Festival is scheduled to take place from November 5 to 15, featuring approximately 150 films including feature-length and short films. Presented by the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA), the event will be held across ten venues in the city.

The festival includes seven distinct competitions: International, Latin American, and Argentine, alongside sections for 'En Tránsito' and various short film categories. The opening ceremony will feature the film ‘Wild Horse Nine’ by Martin McDonagh, while the closing will showcase ‘Borges and Me’ by Marc Turtletaub.

Tickets are priced starting at 5,000 pesos, with specific discounts available for students and retirees. The festival also highlights local talent, such as the Jujuy province's participation through productions like ‘El agua nunca es mala’ directed by Victoria Meza and ‘Hecho a mano’ directed by Carolina Miy.
