Mar del Plata driver abandons car after hitting light pole

A Peugeot 207 was abandoned in central Mar del Plata after colliding with a light pole during the early hours of Thursday. The accident occurred around 2:00 AM at the intersection of San Martín and Jujuy, causing significant damage to both the vehicle and the street lighting structure.

A local security guard reported that the driver exited the vehicle after the impact and walked away, reportedly stating, “Me voy a dormir” (I am going to sleep). No injuries were reported. Neighbors noted that the area is prone to accidents due to high speeds and failure to respect right-of-way rules. The vehicle remained at the scene awaiting removal.
