Mar del Plata hosts documentary on Vaca Muerta fracking

The documentary ‘Qué perforado está mi valle’ has been selected for the 41st Mar del Plata International Film Festival. The film explores the expansion of fracking operations across productive lands in the Alto Valle of Neuquén and Río Negro.

A co-production between Revista Crisis, Observatorio Petrolero Sur, and El Ojo Calchaquí, the documentary aims to spark debate regarding the intersection of energy production and food security in Argentina. It is scheduled to be screened on November 10 at the Cine Ambassador.

The Mar del Plata International Film Festival is the only festival in Latin America with a Category A distinction from the FIAPF, placing it alongside major global events such as Cannes and Venice.
