Mar del Plata mourns victim of fatal group attack

The city of Mar del Plata is mourning the death of 29-year-old Maximiliano Marcel Zabala, who was killed following a violent attack by a group of approximately 10 people. The incident occurred on a Monday evening near the intersection of Grecia and Peña, where the victim was shot in the back and beaten.

Witnesses reported that the group intercepted Zabala and a companion, mistakenly believing they had stolen a bicycle. Bystanders from a local church attempted to provide aid to the victim before emergency services arrived, though witnesses expressed concerns regarding the delay in medical assistance. Zabala, a father of a 9-year-old, is scheduled for burial on Sunday, September 6.
