Mar del Plata summer rental prices projected to rise 25%

The Colegio de Martilleros y Corredores Públicos de Mar del Plata has released suggested rental prices for the 2026-2027 summer season. The proposed rates reflect a 25% increase compared to the previous year, although professionals noted that some market prices have already risen between 33% and 35% due to supply and demand.

Suggested weekly rates for Mar del Plata include: - 1-room apartments: from $375,000 - 2-room apartments: from $588,000 - 3-room apartments: from $863,000 - 3-room chalets: from $1,176,000

Authorities, including President Guillermo Rossi and Vice President Verónica Berasueta, emphasized that these are merely orientative values and that final prices depend on location, property condition, and amenities. They recommended that transactions be conducted in pesos and advised prudence to remain competitive with neighboring countries amidst the current economic situation. The pricing guidance also covers the broader region, including Mar Chiquita, Balcarce, and General Alvarado.
