Mar del Plata students named Tourism Ambassadors for UN Model

A delegation from the Instituto Juvenilia in Mar del Plata has been named ‘Tourism Ambassadors’ by the local Municipal Entity of Tourism and Culture (EMTURyC). The students are set to represent the city at the International Model United Nations, scheduled to take place from February 11 to 15, 2027, at the United Nations headquarters in New York City.

The international event is expected to host more than 1,700 students from 75 different countries. Diego Juárez, President of EMTURyC, stated that the recognition aims to honor the students for carrying the city's identity and name to the global stage. Additionally, tourism officials have encouraged the delegation to participate in local training programs to enhance their knowledge of the city.
