María Antonieta de las Nieves discusses health crisis and Florinda Meza

Mexican actress María Antonieta de las Nieves, widely known for her role as ‘La Chilindrina’ in ‘El Chavo del 8’, has shared details regarding a severe health crisis she experienced during a visit to Peru. The actress stated that her condition was critical, noting that she suffered from severe dehydration and low blood pressure, which caused significant physical deterioration and difficulty speaking.

De las Nieves recalled that she has blurred memories of the episode and was shocked upon reviewing an interview she gave while in Peru, noting how unwell she appeared. She used the experience to advise older individuals to prioritize proper hydration.

Regarding her relationship with former co-star Florinda Meza, de las Nieves clarified that while she holds no resentment, she will not be the one to initiate a reunion, stating, “I am not going to propitiate a reunion with her because she has not propitiated an encounter with me.” She remains in contact with other former cast members, including Carlos Villagrán and Édgar Vivar.
