María Bermúdez presents international flamenco show in Santa Barbara
Acclaimed flamenco artist and artistic director María Bermúdez will present ‘Convivencias’ at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum on Thursday, September 10. The event, held at Tablao Museo, features an international cast of musicians, singers, and dancers from Spain and the United States.
The production is inspired by the Spanish concept of ‘convivencia’, or coexistence, focusing on the connections between performers and the audience. The ensemble includes artists with roots in Jerez de la Frontera, such as flutist Juan Parrilla, violinist Bernardo Parrilla, and guitarist Manu Hernandez. Other featured performers include singers Carmen Grilo and Ismael Fernández, guitarist Andres Vadin, percussionist Diego Alvarez, and dancers Nino de los Reyes, Timo Nuñez, Sabrina Ibarra, Talia Vestal, Ysabella Yturralde, and María Bermúdez.
Following the Santa Barbara performance, the ensemble is scheduled to perform at The Ford in Los Angeles two days later.
