María Castillo crowned Miss Universe Guatemala 2026

María Adelina Castillo Birba, representing Sacatepéquez, has been crowned Miss Universe Guatemala 2026. Out of 27 official candidates, Castillo Birba advanced through the swimsuit and evening gown stages to reach the top seven, ultimately winning the title during the final question round.

The coronation took place at the Parque de la Industria in Guatemala City. Castillo Birba received the crown and sash from Raschel Alexandra Paz Archila, the previous titleholder who placed in the Top 30 at Miss Universe 2025.

The event featured a special appearance by current Miss Universe, Fátima Bosch, who is visiting Guatemala for cultural and social activities. The pageant followed a rigorous selection process that began with over 100 applicants.
