María Chivite inaugurates new Villava health center amid Tudela disputes

President of Navarra, María Chivite, inaugurated the new Villava/Atarrabia Health Center, a facility costing approximately 6 million euros. The 2,600-square-meter center is designed to serve over 12,000 people from Villava, Ezkabarte, and Olaibar, featuring 30 consultation rooms for various medical and social services.

During the inauguration, Chivite stated that this is the third health center opened during the current legislature, following projects in Tudela and Zizur. However, local officials in Tudela have contested this claim. The Mayor of Tudela, Alejandro Toquero, has challenged the assertion that a new center was built in the city, noting that the government only performed renovations on the existing Santa Ana center rather than constructing a new facility.

In Tudela, residents continue to advocate for a third health center in the Lourdes neighborhood and the expansion of the Tudela Oeste-Gayarre center, projects that remain pending despite previous agreements.
