María Chivite targets tech partnership with Indra amid criticism over Belate tunnel deal
Navarre President María Chivite met Indra Group chief Ángel Simón at the company's Madrid headquarters to discuss cooperation on innovation, digital transformation and advanced technologies for the region. Chivite highlighted the importance of public‑private collaboration to boost Navarre's industrial ecosystem, sustainable mobility and talent development.
At the same time, People's Party deputy Sergio Sayas criticised Chivite in a radio interview, demanding her resignation. Sayas alleged systematic irregularities and corruption in the award of the Belate tunnel works, citing an illegal procurement process, the involvement of ServiNavar and Acciona, and the composition of the awarding board. He linked the controversy to Chivite's continued leadership of the regional government.
