María Corina Machado visits El Rodeo I prison to demand prisoner release

Opposition leader María Corina Machado visited the El Rodeo I prison on Friday to demand justice and freedom for political prisoners. During the visit, Machado used a megaphone to address detainees, calling for reparations for families and memory to prevent future occurrences.

Former Supreme Court magistrate Bárbara César Siero expressed gratitude to Machado via social media for highlighting the plight of prisoners and specifically mentioning her brother, Guillermo César Siero. César Siero previously alleged that the government used her family members as hostages to pressure her into signing the disqualification of Machado in late 2023.
