María de los Ángeles Sacnun eyes Santa Fe governorship for 2027

Former national senator María de los Ángeles Sacnun has expressed her intention to compete for the governorship of Santa Fe in the 2027 elections. Sacnun, who previously served as the director of the Banco de Inversión y Comercio Exterior (Bice) until 2023, is currently leading the 'Modelo Santafesino' initiative, a space designed for dialogue with civil society and productive sectors.

Sacnun’s political movement seeks to rebuild connections between Peronism and the agricultural sector, while also advocating for increased female participation in politics. Her coalition includes support from Jorge Hoffmann of ATE Santa Fe, the Partido del Progreso Social (PPS) in Rosario led by Alicia Cavallero, and Daniel Ríos of Somos Patria in the provincial capital.

Sacnun joins a growing list of Peronist figures considering a run for the governorship in 2027, including Marcelo Lewandowski, Germán Martínez, Diego Giuliano, Pablo Corsalini, and Roly Santacroce. Additionally, businessman Federico Pucciarello has been mentioned as a potential candidate outside traditional party structures.
