María del Carmen Barragán appointed as EsSalud advisor

María del Carmen Barragán Coloma has been appointed as an advisor (Level 3) to the Executive Presidency of EsSalud. The appointment was made via a resolution signed by EsSalud Executive President Zulema Tomás on October 17.

Barragán Coloma is the sister of Senator Daniel Barragán of the Partido Cívico Obras. The designation follows the legal authority granted to the head of EsSalud to appoint trusted personnel directly. The appointment is subject to a private sector labor regime contract.

An attorney by profession, Barragán Coloma holds a master's degree in Civil and Commercial Law. Her professional background includes previous roles at EsSalud, the Comptroller General of the Republic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the executive direction of Inabif.
