María del Valle Ares appointed Education Counselor in Castilla y León

Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, President of the Junta de Castilla y León, has appointed María del Valle Ares as the new Counselor of Education. Ares succeeds María Pardo, who is stepping down to lead the People's Party (PP) candidacy for the Congress of Deputies in Valladolid during the upcoming general elections on November 29.

Ares, a law graduate from the University of Salamanca, previously served as the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education. Her professional background includes roles as a counselor for the Consultative Council of Castilla y León, an expert for the European Commission in Brussels, and various legal positions within the regional administration.
