María del Valle de Moya awarded 2026 Music Didactics Prize

María del Valle de Moya Martínez, a professor at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) Faculty of Education in Albacete, has been awarded the 2026 Music Didactics Award. The recognition will be presented during the VII International Meeting of Music Teachers of Cuenca and the XV Conference on Music Didactics and Musicology, part of the Estival Científico festival.

The academic event will take place from November 6 to 8, 2026, at the UCLM Faculty of Education in Cuenca. Under the theme ‘Musical Education in transformation: research, practices and new scenarios’, the program includes 25 hours of workshops, presentations, and debates focused on active methodologies and new technologies in teaching.

De Moya Martínez, a Doctor in Art History and specialist in Musicology and Musical Language, will receive an exclusive clay sculpture created by Cuenca ceramicist Tomás Bux. Registration for the event opens on October 1 via the UCLM platform, with free access for university students and staff, and a 25-euro fee for the general public.
