María Eiras Terranova qualifies for Dakar 2026 Youth Olympics
María Eiras Terranova, a 15-year-old equestrian from Mendoza, has qualified to represent Argentina in show jumping at the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games. The athlete, representing Club Hípico Los Cerros, secured her position after winning a selective trial in Buenos Aires in the 1.30-meter obstacle category.
Following her qualification, Terranova was received by Mendoza sports officials, including Undersecretary of Sports Federico Chiapetta and High Performance Director Mauricio Ginestar. During the meeting, she was presented with the Bandera de los Andes, a symbol of the Mendoza province, in recognition of her achievement. The Dakar 2026 competition is scheduled to take place in Senegal from October 31 to November 13.
