María Galiana critiques 'Cuéntame cómo pasó' series

Actress María Galiana has shared her candid views on the long-running Spanish television series ‘Cuéntame cómo pasó’ during an appearance on the videopodcast ‘Silla de Enea’ with journalist José Manuel Peña.

Despite portraying the character Herminia for over twenty years, the 91-year-old actress admitted she never watched the series during its original broadcast, noting that she typically avoids television after 10:30 PM. Galiana remarked that from a technical television perspective, the production did not seem as high-quality as major American fiction series.

However, she acknowledged the project's significant sociological value, praising its ability to tap into collective nostalgia and connect with viewers. Galiana also addressed the popularity of her character, attributing the public's affection to her performance as an actress rather than any personal resemblance to the character.
