María Isabel releases new music blending Dominican and New York influences
Dominican-American singer and songwriter María Isabel has released her new project, ‘Miss Me Much?’, five years after her debut album. Raised in Queens, New York, the artist incorporates her dual cultural identity into her music.
Produced by El Guincho, the eight-song album blends various genres, including early 2000s reggaeton, bachata, hip-hop, dembow, and alternative pop. The project explores themes of heartbreak and self-discovery through tracks such as ‘Bien Bien’, ‘Suiza’, ‘Sunset Tower’, and ‘1-800’.
María Isabel remains connected to her Dominican roots through community involvement in New York, including participation in the Dominican Day Parade.
