Mara Lezama distributes higher education scholarships for women

Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa led the distribution of support for the Higher Education Scholarship Program for Women in Quintana Roo. The program aims to provide financial stability to ensure women can continue and complete their professional studies.

The current distribution includes 3,660 beneficiaries, consisting of 3,616 students in undergraduate or technical degrees and 44 in postgraduate studies. Of these, 2,733 are renewing recipients and 927 are new to the program. Each beneficiary will receive a total of 9,000 pesos, representing six months of 1,500 pesos.

Education Secretary Elda Xix Euán noted that since the program's inception in September 2023, it has benefited a total of 17,354 women through exclusively state-funded resources.
