Opposition legislators from the PAN party have called for an investigation by the Anti-Corruption Secretariat, arguing that such a lifestyle contradicts the principles of republican austerity promoted by the Morena party. They have raised concerns regarding the source of funding for these trips and the potential misuse of public resources.

Governor Lezama has denied all allegations of using public funds for these travels. She stated that the reported number of flights is inaccurate and would imply being on vacation for an entire year. Lezama clarified that her travels were either for official duties or were private, family-related trips paid for with her personal funds, maintaining that her actions align with government norms.
