María Toledo's New Album 'María' Tops Charts and Sparks Concert in Cáceres

Spanish flamenco singer María Toledo released her eighth studio album, María, a personal work dedicated to her daughter on her first birthday. The record entered the national sales chart at number 1, outselling several recent international releases. Toledo, the first woman in flamenco history to accompany herself on piano, highlighted the project as her most intimate to date.

The following week she performed the album live at the Jardines del Museo Pedrilla in Cáceres. The charity concert, organized by the Diputación de Cáceres, began at 22:30 and marked the first presentation of María in the Extremadura region, drawing attention to the artist’s new material and her continued influence on contemporary flamenco.
