Marabá bridge construction reaches 80% completion

Major logistics infrastructure projects are underway in Brazil, notably in Marabá, Pará. A R$ 4.1 billion project funded by Vale is constructing two new bridges over the Tocantins River—one road and one rail bridge. Each structure is approximately 2.3 kilometers long. The project has surpassed 80% execution and is expected to be completed in 2027.

The initiative aims to separate traffic flows to improve safety and efficiency, as the current 1980s-era bridge handles all trains, vehicles, and pedestrians. The construction has become a significant economic driver for the region, employing 2,951 workers and generating approximately R$ 79 million in ISS tax revenue.
