Marabá hosts training on LGBTQIAPN+ prison health rights

The Public Ministry of the State of Pará (MPPA) held a training event in Marabá titled ‘Health of LGBTQIAPN+ Persons Deprived of Liberty: Intersectionalities and Dignity’. The program, organized by the 4th Criminal Prosecutor's Office and the 13th Civil Prosecutor's Office of Marabá, took place on September 10 and 11.

The initiative aimed to strengthen institutional actions regarding the fundamental rights of the LGBTQIAPN+ population within the prison system. Discussions focused on gender identity, sexual orientation, access to healthcare, mental health, and the implementation of public policies to combat discrimination and prejudice in correctional facilities.
