Marabá students win eight medals at karate tournament

Five athletes from the Maria Ilan R. Jadão Municipal School, representing Marabá, earned eight medals at the Intermunicipal Karate Tournament held in Jacundá on August 22 and 23. The delegation, led by physical education teacher Alexandre Barreto da Rocha, secured two gold, three silver, and three bronze medals.

Kalebe Bejamim was a standout performer, winning gold in the kata modality and silver in kumite. The competition served as preparation for the Pan-American Karate Championship scheduled for late September in Parauapebas.
