Maracaibo hosts municipal Karate Do competition for youth talent

Maracaibo is hosting various sporting events to foster local talent, including a municipal Karate Do competition held at Parque Urdaneta. Supported by the Maracaibo Mayor's Office and the Municipal Institute of Sport and Recreation (Imdeprec), the tournament featured approximately 70 children aged 9 to 11 competing in kumite matches.

The event serves as a talent identification process for the 2026 Municipal National Sports Games (Judenacom). Daniela Jiménez, president of Imdeprec, noted that the initiative is part of a broader program for sports massification and talent scouting within the Bolívar parish.
