Maracaibo man arrested for burning 6-year-old child with lighter

Luis Antonio González Montilla, 24, has been arrested in the Alto Prado sector of Maracaibo for allegedly burning a 6-year-old child with a lighter. The arrest was carried out by the Bolivarian Police Corps of Zulia State (Cpbez) following a report by the child's father.

The victim sustained a first-degree burn on his shoulder and received medical attention at the Centro Médico Ambulatorio Urbano Simón Bolívar. The father also reported that the child had been subjected to constant physical aggression by the suspect.

González has been placed at the disposal of the 33rd Prosecutor's Office of the Public Ministry, specifically handling matters regarding the Protection of Children, Girls, and Adolescents, for acts of cruel treatment.
