Maracaibo police force promotes 108 officers on National Police Day
On July 16, the Instituto Autónomo Policía del Municipio Maracaibo (Polimaracaibo) held a ceremony to promote 108 officials, including a new chief commissioner, to higher ranks in recognition of merit and commitment. The event was led by Maracaibo mayor Giancarlo Di Martino and Polimaracaibo director Henry Prieto, who highlighted the importance of police duties for city safety.
In the Mexican municipality of Yecapixtla, Morelos, local authorities also marked Police Day by providing new vehicles, uniforms and a direct bonus to operational staff, and announced the construction of a new civic court and additional patrol units. Mayor Heladio Rafael Sánchez Zavala emphasized improving resources and welfare for police, paramedics and civil protection personnel to sustain public order.
Both celebrations underscore municipal efforts in Venezuela and Mexico to recognize police work and enhance security infrastructure on the national police commemorations.
