Maracaibo woman defends herself against domestic attacker

A woman in Maracaibo, Zulia state, bit off part of her partner's ear while defending herself during a violent domestic attack on Saturday night, September 12.

The alleged aggressor has been identified as 30-year-old Crisleyquer Ruiz, reportedly a former official of the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (CONAS) of the Bolivarian National Guard. Following a heated argument that escalated into physical violence against the woman, Ruiz fled the scene in the San Jacinto urban sector.

Authorities are currently searching for Ruiz, who remains at large. The victim was transported to a medical center for emergency treatment. Witnesses reported that the woman acted in self-defense and stated she would react similarly if subjected to further violence.
