Maracanã Stadium management opens 2027 luxury box auction

The Maracanã Stadium management, operated by the Flamengo and Fluminense consortium (Fla-Flu Serviços S.A.), has launched an electronic auction for luxury boxes for the 2027 season. The auction, scheduled for October 27, features 22 spaces divided into three lots. Bidding starts at R$ 55,000 per seat for some units and R$ 65,000 for others. The available boxes are located in the west and east sectors of the stadium, accommodating groups of 14 to 31 people.

A new online platform will be implemented to allow box holders to manage their spaces and facilitate the paid transfer of seats for matches they cannot attend. The auction process is being conducted in partnership with the sports corporate hospitality company Golden Goal.

The current concession for the Maracanã, which began in September 2024, grants the Flamengo and Fluminense consortium the right to manage the stadium's operations, maintenance, and economic exploitation until September 2044. Challenges for the consortium include balancing stadium usage between the two clubs and managing pitch maintenance and scheduling for other teams, such as Vasco da Gama.
