Maradona death trial witnesses Dalma Maradona and nurse coordinator testify

Dalma Maradona appeared before the criminal court in San Isidro for a third‑hour testimony, describing the emotional impact of hearing disrespectful audio messages from former doctor Leopoldo Luque that were played as evidence. She recounted insults aimed at her and her sister, and emphasized the need for the judges to understand the circumstances surrounding her father's medical care.

Nurse coordinator Mariano Perroni also gave a three‑hour statement, rejecting any involvement in a criminal plan to cause Maradona’s death. Perroni said his role was limited to administrative coordination, that he had no authority to prescribe medication, and that he never received a full clinical record. He asserted he acted only under orders from Swiss Medical’s coordinator and denied falsifying any information.

Both testimonies are part of the ongoing investigation into possible negligence or misconduct in the medical treatment that preceded Diego Maradona’s fatal subdural hemorrhage.
