Maramureș hosts cultural and agricultural events to promote regional heritage

The Maramureș region in Romania recently hosted two significant events focused on preserving local heritage and promoting regional industry.

The first edition of the Maramureș Convention took place at the Baia Mare Village Museum, bringing together local residents, the diaspora, and business representatives. The event featured discussions on preserving dying traditional crafts and included educational activities for children to learn about historical village life, traditional clothing, and local customs.

Simultaneously, the inaugural AgroMaramureș fair was held in Mireșu Mare. This event connected modern agriculture with traditional practices, showcasing livestock, advanced agricultural machinery, and local artisanal products. The fair included workshops on agricultural financing, demonstrations of traditional crafts, and exhibitions designed to highlight the region's agricultural potential and quality local goods.
