Maranhão government announces unified public civil service exam
The government of Maranhão, led by Carlos Brandão, has confirmed that the State Secretariat of Administration (Sead) is in the final planning stages for the Unified Public Civil Service Exam of Maranhão. The Fundação Carlos Chagas (FCC) has been contracted as the organizing body for the selection process.
The education sector is expected to have the largest number of openings, with over 2,000 positions for higher education levels. This initiative aims to address a significant demand in the state's education system, where approximately 15,000 temporary contract teachers currently represent more than 50% of the teaching staff.
In addition to education, the exam will provide opportunities across several strategic sectors, including health (SES), administration (SEAD), agricultural defense (AGED), the State University of Maranhão (UEMA), environment (SEMA), transit (DETRAN), and child and adolescent services (FASE).
