Maranhão Police Military recruitment opens nearly 1,000 vacancies

The Polícia Militar of Maranhão (PM MA) has published a new public‑service exam offering roughly 970‑1,000 open positions for the soldier and soldier‑musician ranks. Candidates must hold a high‑school diploma, be between 18 and 35 years old, possess a valid driving licence (category A or B), and meet height requirements (1.55 m for women, 1.60 m for men). The starting salary is reported at R$6,149.08.

The objective test, consisting of 120 multiple‑choice items (50 General Knowledge, 70 Specific Knowledge), is scheduled for mid‑October. Study advisors recommend a three‑hour daily regimen divided into three 50‑minute blocks with short breaks, focusing on both theory and practice questions. The preparation plan stresses methodical organization, consistency, and familiarity with the exam format, which uses the Cebraspe “right‑or‑wrong” scoring system where an error nullifies a correct answer.

Applicants can register online until early August, with the exam administered by the Cebraspe testing board.
