Marano di Napoli: Car of man with disability destroyed by fire
A Hyundai i10 belonging to Raffaele De Rosa, a 36-year-old man living with multiple sclerosis, was destroyed by fire in Marano di Napoli during the early hours of September 3. The fire, which occurred between 3:00 AM and 4:00 AM, required intervention from firefighters to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby apartments.
De Rosa reported frequent disputes regarding the unauthorized occupation of the disabled parking space located in front of his home. He expressed fear that the arson may be a retaliatory act, stating, “I am afraid for me and my family.”
The family, which relies on a disability pension and his wife's salary, noted that the vehicle was their only means of transportation and was purchased only five months ago. The Carabinieri are currently conducting investigations and have seized the vehicle's remains to determine the cause of the fire.
