Marano Lagunare to host presentation of Alessandro Marzo Magno's award-winning story
The Friuli Venezia Giulia Literary Prize, ‘Il racconto dei luoghi e del tempo’, will hold a public presentation in Marano Lagunare on Monday, November 2. The event will take place at 18:00 in the Sala Vecchia Pescheria.
The presentation focuses on the winning story, ‘Quando Marano è diventato l’ombelico del mondo’, written by Venetian essayist Alessandro Marzo Magno. The work, published by Edizioni Italo Svevo, explores a historical period when the lagoon town was at the center of a controversy involving Venice, the Habsburg Empire, France, and the Church.
Marzo Magno was awarded the 7th edition of the prize last September during the 27th pordenonelegge festival. The upcoming meeting will feature the author alongside Gian Mario Villalta, artistic director of pordenonelegge, and Michelangelo Agrusti, President of Fondazione Pordenonelegge.it.
