Marantz launches Cinema Series 2 receivers with Dolby Atmos

Marantz unveiled its new Cinema Series 2 line of home‑theater receivers, comprising the Cinema 50, Cinema 60 DAB and Cinema 70s models. All three units feature a brand‑new 32‑bit 8‑channel DAC that Marantz says improves precision, imaging and dynamic expression across the listening environment.

The receivers add a Dolby Atmos channel expander, optional Dirac Live room‑correction, HDMI 2.1 gaming support with 1440p video passthrough and AMD FreeSync, and a forthcoming Bluetooth LE Audio update. Additional upgrades include a Web Control 2.0 app for remote configuration, HDMI Diagnostics 2.0 for troubleshooting, and an expanded HEOS multi‑room platform.
