Marataízes debates new Municipal Master Plan for urban growth

The Marataízes City Council held a public hearing on September 3, 2026, to discuss proposed changes and adaptations to the Municipal Master Plan (Plano Diretor Municipal, PDM). As a primary urban planning instrument, the PDM will establish new guidelines for the municipality's territorial occupation and growth in the coming years.

The meeting included Mayor Toninho Bitencourt, various municipal secretaries, and a significant number of city councilors and residents. A contracted company presented technical updates regarding urban planning, zoning, urban expansion, soil occupation, infrastructure, mobility, and environmental preservation. The revision aims to address the municipality's recent population and economic growth.
