Marataízes selected for Sebrae entrepreneurship education pilot

Marataízes, located in the southern coast of Espírito Santo, has been selected as one of eight Brazilian cities to participate in a Sebrae pilot project. The initiative, titled ‘Sebrae Structured Approach’, aims to strengthen education and entrepreneurial culture within the school environment.

The project will be implemented in 10 full-time municipal schools, involving students from 1st to 9th grade. Rather than focusing solely on business creation, the program seeks to develop essential life skills such as creativity, autonomy, planning, opportunity identification, and problem-solving.

Other participating cities include Vargem Alta in Espírito Santo, as well as locations in Piauí, Tocantins, and Minas Gerais. Marataízes was chosen due to its previous experience with entrepreneurial education programs.
