Marath Bolaños accused of acting as intermediary for Andy López Beltrán

Marath Bolaños, the Secretary of Labor under President Claudia Sheinbaum, is allegedly acting as a key intermediary and messenger for Andy López Beltrán, the son of former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

Reports suggest Bolaños uses his low public profile to operate in the shadows, facilitating connections between López Beltrán and individuals seeking government contracts in exchange for economic favors. These meetings reportedly take place in exclusive areas of Mexico City, such as the St. Regis hotel and fashionable restaurants in the Roma, Condesa, and Juárez neighborhoods.

Beyond acting as a liaison for contracts in sectors like Health and Infrastructure, Bolaños is accused of leveraging his position within the Ministry of Labor to influence business matters. This includes managing labor conflicts through controlled entities such as the Conciliation and Arbitration Board and the Federal Labor Defense Attorney's Office.
