Maratha activist and family criticize government following Abhijit Dipke's detention

Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange Patil and the family of Abhijit Dipke have criticized the government following the detention of Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janata Party, at a Delhi airport.

Jarange Patil accused the central and state governments of attempting to suppress the voices of students, farmers, and the Maratha community. He raised concerns regarding police deployment and traffic restrictions at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, where protests were planned. Patil maintained that the demand for Maratha reservation is legitimate and accused authorities of attempting to divide the community rather than addressing their needs.

Abhijit Dipke’s parents expressed outrage over his detention, which they claim occurred while he was on an aircraft. His father, Bhagwan Dipke, characterized the incident as an attempt to silence those advocating for democracy and suggested the government is moving toward a ‘one nation, one party’ model. His mother, Anita Dipke, also condemned the action, stating that individuals working for the country are being targeted while actual criminals face less scrutiny.
