Marathon to host 7th Wine and Traditional Dance Festival

The 7th Wine and Traditional Dance Festival is scheduled to take place in Marathon on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Starting at 19:00 at the historic Marathon Running Start line, the event offers free admission to the public.

The festival will feature approximately 600 dancers from 34 dance associations performing traditional dances from various regions of Greece. The musical program will include three orchestras, 15 musicians, and singers, with live performances by artists such as Spyros Brempos, Andriana Moka, Vangelis Dimoudis, and Liana Charalampidou.

In addition to the music and dance, visitors can meet local wine producers and participate in wine tastings. The event is organized and artistically directed by Nancy Sakellari.
