Marathon: Two siblings bitten by viper in home courtyard

Two siblings, an 18-month-old infant and a 14-year-old boy, were bitten by a viper in their home courtyard in Marathon, Greece. The incident occurred when the snake attacked the infant, prompting the older brother to rush to his sibling's aid, during which he was also bitten.

Both children were transported to the Pediatric Hospital of Penteli for medical treatment. The infant was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit and administered anti-venom due to the severity of the initial clinical presentation.

Deputy Health Minister Marios Themistokleous reported that both children are currently in good clinical condition and remain under close medical observation. The medical team noted that the children are stable and not intubated, with the treatment progressing smoothly.
