Maratona FILA sees record participation in São Paulo

The Maratona FILA held in São Paulo at the University of São Paulo (USP) campus saw record participation, with over 5,000 runners competing across various distances.

In the women's 42 km category, Marlei Willers secured her third championship title, completing the race in 2h46min20s. In the men's elite 42 km category, André Luiz Silva Antônio took first place with a time of 2h22min18s.

The event also expanded to include 10.5 km and 21 km individual categories, as well as relay formats. In the 21 km category, Mateus Silva da Rocha, a 26-year-old athlete from Cruzeiro do Sul, Acre, claimed first place with a time of 1h09min40s.
