Marbella hosts first UIM MotoSurf World Championship Grand Prix in Spain

Marbella is hosting the first UIM MotoSurf World Championship Grand Prix in Spain this weekend. The event will take place at the Lago Club of Real de la Quinta, bringing together 70 pilots from 20 different countries.

The competition includes male, female, and junior categories. Local official Lisandro Vieytes highlighted the sport's focus on sustainability, noting that the boards utilize green fuel. The event places Marbella alongside international host cities in countries such as Turkey, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and China.

Scheduled activities include free practice and qualifying on Friday, semifinals on Saturday, and finals on Sunday. The competition will be broadcast in approximately 80 countries. Carlos García, the Sports Delegate for the Junta de Andalucía, noted that the international participation provides significant promotion for Marbella and the Andalusia region.
