Marbella luxury hotel investments and real estate prices hit records

The luxury hospitality and real estate sectors in Marbella and the Costa del Sol are experiencing significant growth and record-breaking values. Two major hotel projects are set to expand the luxury offerings in eastern Marbella, with a combined investment exceeding 800 million euros.

The Four Seasons Marbella is projected to invest between 650 and 700 million euros for a 105-room resort on a 32-hectare beachfront plot, which is estimated to create approximately 3,000 jobs. Additionally, the first Waldorf Astoria in Spain, a Hilton brand, has entered the planning phase with a 175 million euro investment for a 120-room hotel near Marbella Golf, expected to open in 2029.

Parallel to these developments, the luxury residential market in the region has reached new heights. According to a report by Grupo Tecnitasa, prime beachfront properties in areas such as Marbella, Benahavís, and Estepona have reached prices as high as 40,000 euros per square meter. This surge is driven by a scarcity of available land, high demand from international buyers, and an increasing preference for privacy and exclusive services.
