Marbella promotes golf tourism in Scotland
The Marbella City Council is conducting an international promotional campaign in Aberdeen, Scotland, to position the city as a premier European golf tourism destination. The initiative is centered around the 'Staysure PGA Seniors Championship,' a major event on the Legends Tour.
Represented by Sports Councilor Lisandro Vieytes and Tourism Director Laura de Arce, the delegation is engaging with international golf figures, industry professionals, and spectators. The campaign aims to leverage the sport to attract high-value visitors, particularly during off-peak tourist months, by showcasing Marbella's integrated offering of golf courses, hotels, and leisure services.
As part of their strategic discussions with Legends Tour organizers, officials are exploring the possibility of hosting the tournament in Marbella again in 2027. This promotional effort follows the 'Staysure Marbella Legends' event held in February and is scheduled to continue in England later this month during the 'English Legends' in Kent.
