Marbella to host XIV Marea Rosa charity race on October 4

The XIV edition of the ‘Marea Rosa’ solidarity race against breast cancer will take place in Marbella on Sunday, October 4. Organized by the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), the event aims to attract more than 3,000 participants.

The event will begin at 11:00 AM with a training session led by Raúl González, followed by the march starting at 12:00 PM from Avenida del Mar and the Paseo Marítimo. The route will conclude at the Adolfo Suárez Fair and Congress Palace, where participants can enjoy food, music, and a solidarity tombola.

Registration costs 12 euros and includes insurance and a race number, adding a competitive sporting element to the event. Funds raised will support cancer research and direct assistance for patients and their families. Santiago Gómez-Villares, president of AECC Marbella, noted that last year the association provided over 1,000 sessions, including psychological support and physiotherapy, to hundreds of affected individuals.
