Marc Cucurella backs Real Madrid under manager Jose Mourinho

Real Madrid defender Marc Cucurella has expressed optimism regarding the upcoming season under manager Jose Mourinho. Following his move to the club after a four-year tenure in the Premier League with Brighton and Chelsea, the Spanish international noted that Mourinho has already brought “a lot of confidence and naturalness” to the team during pre-season training.

Cucurella, who previously developed in FC Barcelona’s La Masia academy, described Real Madrid as the “sport’s pinnacle” and “Europe’s biggest club.” He stated that the opportunity to play for the 15-time UEFA Champions League winners under Mourinho was a challenge he could not turn down.

The 28-year-old joins a revamped squad assembled by President Florentino Perez, which includes other high-profile signings such as Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate, and Denzel Dumfries, following a trophyless campaign for the club.
